Oui The People has arrived in fine fragrance, and it arrived generously: five eau de parfums at once, each a 50ml bottle at $130. Sunday Lime, a salty mineral vanilla, is now at Sephora as a new arrival, and that is just the front door. The full collection lives on the brand's own site, ouithepeople.com, alongside a Souk Honey body mist, duo sets, and a discovery set for anyone who wants to meet all five scents before committing to one.

The collection reads like a map of founder Karen Young's references. Sunday Lime is a salty jasmine vanilla the brand describes as mineral rather than sweet. Window Fruit is a milky guava floral. Souk Honey layers orange blossom, neroli, cardamom, sandalwood, and manuka honey into an amber gourmand. Caribbean Skin pairs tart tamarind with calamansi over a skin musk, and Island Milk is a creamy spiced milk musk built on cinnamon and sandalwood. Young, who is of Guyanese heritage, has long woven Caribbean reference points through the brand, and the scent names make that lineage explicit and warm: these are places and moments, bottled.

Oui The People has earned this moment. Karen Young started the company with $1,500 and a background at Estee Lauder, and built it into one of the most respected names in clean beauty: award-winning bodycare with a voice that never sold women a flaw to fix, including Allure recognition for its Featherweight Body Gloss. The brand raised an oversubscribed $3 million seed round led by New Age Capital, bringing total funding past $4 million, and has grown its community on formulas and honesty in equal measure.

A brand that spent a decade refusing to sell women a problem is now selling them a place: a Sunday, a window, a souk, an island.

Sephora is familiar ground. Oui The People's bodycare launched on sephora.com in August 2023 and rolled into 266 stores that September; the brand is now in more than 400 doors. Fragrance extends a partnership that has been scaling for three years, and it carries the brand into prestige beauty's most personal category: the one where a brand's world, not its ingredient list, does the selling.

That is exactly why this debut is exciting. Oui The People built its equity on restraint: in formulas, in language, in the refusal to market self-care as self-correction. Five scents named for places and moments rather than aspirations say the fragrance line intends to keep that promise. Start with Sunday Lime at Sephora, then go meet the rest of the family at ouithepeople.com.
